Directions
Let’s Prep
-
Tenderise your steaks with a mallett. Slice your steaks into roughly 2 x 1 inch strips.
-
In a large bowl combine the oil, ground peanuts and Spice Pantry Nigerian Suya Spice Blend. Soak your steak strips in the mixture and marinate for 2 hours.
-
Add steak to the skewers, making sure they are pushed together with no spaces in-between.
Let’s cook
Oven cook
-
Pre-heat oven to 425°f/220°c/200°c fan or gas mark 6.
-
Place skewers on a rack and cook for 8 minutes, then turn and cook for a further 8 minutes until fully cooked.
Stove top
-
Heat a lightly oiled griddle pan until hot and add the skewers, cook two to three minutes on each side until they are cooked to your liking.
Air fryer
-
Pre-heat your air fryer to 200°c
-
Place your skewers in a single layer and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through. Cook for a little longer if you want your steak well done.
Enjoy!
-
Serve with pitta bread or a wrap with sliced onions, tomatoes, lettuce and a generous squeeze of lime. Great with our seasoned chips or wedges!
