Ingredients
-
1 tbsp Spice Pantry Korean Spice Blend
- 500g lean beef mince
- Olive oil
- 125ml soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 40g light brown sugar
- 6 spring onions chopped
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Brown rice (enough for 4 people)
Directions
Let’s Prep
-
Slice the spring onions! Prep done
Let’s cook
Stove top
-
Start cooking the brown rice. 2.5 parts water to 1 part brown rice and simmer for 20 minutes then stir once and leave to rest for 5 minutes is how I do it.
-
Whilst the rice is cooking. Using a deep frying pan or a wok with a splash of oil, cook the beef until browned making sure to drain any excess fat.
-
Add the garlic, 1 tbsp Spice Pantry Korean Spice Blend, soy sauce, brown sugar and cook for 5-10 minutes, the beef should have absorbed most of the sauce.
-
Add the spring onions and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes.
-
Serve over brown rice and garnish with the sesame seeds.
Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Really simple fairly dry dish but so delicious.
