Directions
Let’s Prep
-
Tenderise the beef with a steak tenderiser. It helps when fast cooking beef.
For the kebabs
-
Place the cubed steak into a bowl along with the Spice Pantry North African Spice Blend, olive oil, salt and pepper (to taste) and mix well, cover and refrigerate for at least half an hour. Then make the kebabs alternating the steak and onion, peppers and mushrooms on the skewer. Use in any or all combinations depending on what you have in the fridge!
Let’s cook
Stove top
-
Heat the griddle pan until hot, add your prepared skewers to the griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side (4 sides) depending on your preference. You can brush the leftover marinade on uncooked meat but once the cooking has started discard remaining marinade.
Air fryer
-
Preheat your air fryer to 200°c
-
Once kebabs are assembled place them in a single layer and cook for 8-10 minutes turning halfway, cook until they are slightly charred on the outside and tender inside.
Oven cook
-
Preheat oven to 350°f/ 180°c/ 160°c fan/ gas mark 4
-
Once kebabs are assembled place them on a baking tray and cook for 15 minutes, flip skewers and cook for a further 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Enjoy!
-
Before serving you can use the lemon to squeeze over the meat if you desire.
