This Mediterranean Spice Blend will boost your lamb to another level, it contains (among others) Sumac which is found in a lot of Mediterranean cooking.
It has a tart citrus flavour and can be an alternative to lemon juice. In this case it compliments the other spices to give this Turkish recipe a wonderful flavour. Give it a go!

2 tbsp of Spice Pantry Mediterranean Spiced Lamb Blend
6 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Onion chopped
300g Lamb mince
1 tbsp Tomato puree
- 2 tomatoes finely chopped
2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
100g Feta cheese
Pittas, salad, chips or wedges to serve

Chop the onions and tomato

Using a large frying pan, add oil and cook the onions until soft. Add the Lamb mince and Spice Pantry Mediterranean Spiced Lamb Blend, fry until browned and stir until spices are combined, about 4-5 minutes.

Add the puree, tomatoes and lemon/lime. Add 50ml water. Simmer for 10-12 minutes stirring regularly, you should have a sticky mixture. Its ready to fill your pitta bread.
Serving suggestion

Serve this in a pita sprinkled with feta and salad with seasoned chips or wedges on the side.
