A super easy premium chilli burger
Homemade burgers are so much better than the grey shop bought ones and they cost a lot less too! By the time you have opened the box and taken out your frozen burgers your fresh ones will be ready. It just makes sense to make them yourself.

Directions
-
Let’s Prep
-
In a bowl, mix the Spice Pantry Chilli Burger Madness Blend, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce & tomato ketchup and mince beef, then mix until combined. Don’t over mix, minced beef does not like that it it gets a bit tight.
-
Shape into whatever size you want (we use a burger press), if storing in the fridge or freezer its best to use baking parchment between the burgers to stop them sticking to each other.
-
Let’s cook
-
Oven cook
-
Place on a wire tray and cook in the oven 180°c for 10 minutes, Turn over and cook for a further 10 minutes or until fully cooked through.
-
Stove top
-
Pour some oil in a large frying pan, place on a medium heat. Cook the burger patties in batches, 2-4 minutes each side of the patty depending on how you like your burgers.
-
Air fryer
-
Place them on one tray and cook on 180°c for 6-7 minutes. Flip the burgers then continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until they are fully cooked. If you have a meat thermometer, then the internal temperature should be 160°f/72°c.
-
Barbecue - don’t really need to tell you how to cook a burger on a barbie! But you can make a paste with extra spice mix and oil to brush over whilst cooking as well. Depends how hot you want it!
-
If cooking onions fry until golden brown and in the last minute add ½ a tsp of the chilli madness mix and stir for an extra punch of flavour.
Enjoy!
-
Choose your buns and choose your fillings, we always lightly toast the bun, it's much better! add butter to a frying pan and cook the halves of the roll on the inside until golden.
-
You can choose from Lettuce, tomato, sliced gherkins, fresh or cooked onions, relish, tomato sauce, hamburger sauce, barbecue and mayo sauce (my favourite!) American mustard. Get creative!
