Directions
Let's Prep!
-
Before cooking your steaks, you should tenderize them. Beware though, if you leave them too thick the timings will be a bit longer.
-
Mix 1 tbsp of Spice Pantry Asian Blend with all the ingredients and cover your steaks in the mixture. If you have time leave them to marinate for a few hours in the fridge. You can cook them straight away if you wish.
Let's Cook!
Stove Top
-
Heat your pan on a medium/high heat and then add oil to it, place your steaks carefully into the pan and cook.
-
Rough guide for steak cooking: 1 minutes each side for blue, 2 minutes each side for rare, 3 minutes each side for medium rare, 4 minutes each side for medium and 5 minutes each side for well done.
-
Leave it to rest. Cover forming a tent with foil and leave it alone for 5 minutes.
Air fryer
-
Preheat your air fryer for 2 minutes at 200°c, then place your steaks in a single layer.
-
Cook for 6 minutes, turn the steak and cook for another 2 minutes. This will give you rare to medium rare steaks.
-
For medium steaks cook for another 2 minutes, and another 2 for well done.
-
Leave it to rest. Cover forming a tent with foil and just leave it alone for 5 minutes.
Enjoy!
-
Once rested it’s good to eat, slice, dice and add to a stir fry or do what i do and sandwich it in between a crusty baguette with onions, tomatoes and lettuce with a little bit of mayonnaise. Lovely!

Serve with Chips or wedges
Recipe Note
We always leave our steaks to rest for a few minutes, this stops you losing juices out of the meat and so making it juicy and tender.
You can chop up a red or green chill for some extra spice if you wish. It's not necessary but ifwe’re having a beer watching the football and munching on a big baguette, we like it hot!
