Filling suggestions:
Directions
Let's Prep!
-
Fry the onions until golden brown, then set aside
-
Add 2 tbsp of Spice Pantry Asian Blend to 500g of beef mince. We use a high fat content mince because it keeps the burger moist during cooking. You can use steak mince but it will be more crumbly. Don’t work it too much when mixing together.
-
Shape into whatever size you want (we use a burger press), if storing in the fridge or freezer its best to use baking parchment between the burgers to stop them sticking to each other.
Let's Cook!
Oven Cook
-
Place on a wire tray and cook in the oven 180°c for 10 minutes, flipping over and cooking for a further 10 minutes or until fully cooked through.
Stove Top
-
Pour some oil in a large frying pan, place on a medium heat. Cook the burger patties in batches, 2-4 minutes each side of the patty depending on how you like your burgers.
Air Fryer
-
Place them on one tray and cook on 180°c for 6-7 minutes. Flip the burgers then continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until they are fully cooked. If you have a meat thermometer, then the internal temperature should be 160°f/72°c.
Barbecue
-
Place your burgers on the grill and cook evenly on each side. You can make a drizzle of Asian spice blend and olive oil to brush the burgers for more flavour.
-
Fry those onions! chop into onion rings and cook in a little oil until golden, for an additional kick add a ½ tsp of the Asian spice mix to the onions for the last minute and ramp up the heat. Lovely!
Enjoy!
-
Choose your buns and choose your fillings, we always lightly toast the bun, it's much better!
-
You can choose from Lettuce, tomato, garlic mayo, cooked onions, relish, barbecue sauce or tomato sauce (my favourite!). Get creative!
Recipe Note
Wedges of chips? Go on you know you want to. Take a look at our chip seasoning. Go from sad chips to glad chips with just a sprinkle.
